Geoffrey J. McDonald
Geoff's primary focus is on client service, trust administration, business development and marketing. Specific areas of focus include client experiences, trust review and acceptance, asset assignment and compliance.
Geoff began his career in the nonprofit sector focusing on compliance, consulting, major gift fund raising, complex gifts and planned giving. During his time in the field, he served as a consultant and executive for multiple non-profit organizations and has raised millions of dollars for various charitable organizations and initiatives. In 2016, Geoff passed the Certified Fund Raising Executive Exam to earn the CFRE designation, the only accredited, globally recognized certification for fund raising professionals.
Geoff's passion for assisting families in planning and securing their financial legacies led him to Concord Trust Company in 2018. A New Hampshire native, Geoff takes pride in sharing with clients and their trust advisors the many advantages of New Hampshire's and South Dakota's favorable tax, trust, and asset protection statutes.
Geoff holds a BA in Political Science from Hartwick College. While in college, he served as Captain of the Cross Country and Track teams and is the school's 3,000 meter record holder. In 2020, Geoff was selected as a member of Hartwick's inaugural '40 Under 40' class. He is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and serves on the organization's Networking Committee. In his spare time he serves as an advisor and advocate for many community groups and nonprofit organizations.
